Clay

Lauren's ceramics practice is inseparable from her own personal journey. What began as an art elective driven by curiosity unknowingly became a grounding practice and a search for clarity and truth within. Working with clay reflected the deeper journey of life: letting go of expectations and control, the cultivation of non-attachment, the constant balancing of discipline and structure with surrender and flow. She discovered that true transformation gets forged through fire, that resilience and fragility are not opposites but intimate companions.

Throughout the years of her practice, her work evolves as she continues on her journey. The forms and surfaces that emerge from her hands reflect the interior landscape she navigates: from innocence, joy, and freedom to encountering and sitting with her own shadows and the territories of the unconscious, individual and collective. The clay became a mirror and a map, while simultaneously grounding her in the present.

What sometimes feels like destruction is an integral part of the journey towards wholeness. Through each chapter of unraveling of who she thought she was, integration emerged. Not as a return to the beginning, but as a spiral homecoming. Clarity arose, but transformed. The lines remain, but with complexity, texture, the weight and paradox of what it means to be fully human.

Her work reflects both the purity of intention and the unspeakable mystery of becoming.

These vessels are documents of that journey—records of a self continually returning to remember the Self through material, form, and bearing witness to the ever unfolding process.

Yoga

On the mat, Lauren explores the same conversation as in the studio: holding opposites, balancing discipline with surrender, effort with ease. Yoga became a direct path to presence and a way of listening to herself through breath and movement.

Each pose is an invitation to meet what arises without judgment. The practice teaches her that transformation happens not through force, but through patient attention. Just as clay requires both intention and release, yoga asks her to show up fully while letting go of control.

In this balance, she finds freedom and the ability to return to herself, again and again, with awareness and compassion.
