Your Clay Piece

The piece you make at Studio Norae is part of your experience. Lauren trims, glazes, and kiln-fires it by hand, and then it's returned to you.

You'll get an email when your piece has shipped. Shipped pieces include a tracking number.

Shipping address. Please give an address where someone can receive a package. Studio Norae isn't responsible for packages sent to an incorrect address you provided.

International shipping. International shipping is quoted per piece before it's sent. Customs duties and import fees are your responsibility.

If your piece arrives damaged. Email lauren@studionorae.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the piece and the box. Lauren will file the carrier claim. She'll also offer either a refund of the shipping cost or a small replacement piece made in the spirit of yours.

If your piece doesn't survive the kiln. Clay can crack or break in firing even with careful work, and occasionally it does. If this happens, Lauren will contact you before the shipping date.

Glaze and color.

Kiln-fired glazes vary naturally. Your final colors may differ from what you picture, and that's part of the process.

Food safety. Sculptural pieces are decorative.

Only vessels finished with food-safe glaze should be used for food or drink.
